Calling All Voices: Stories from Latino Community Members on Living with Alzheimer’s
Sponsored by Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI) with the support of Otsuka
The Latino community faces an unequal share of the impact of Alzheimer’s disease, yet their perspectives, narratives, and encounters are often overlooked in the deliberations on ways to enhance care and assistance. In this panel discussion, care partners and persons living with dementia within the Latino community shared insights into the distinct challenges they faced and outlined their approaches to leading fulfilling lives despite Alzheimer’s.
The overarching message was clear: there is hope, and our emphasis should be on the person rather than the disease.
